Skull

By Dan Vasile, 2014-11-26 14:21

Taking a deep shaky breath you put in your bid, you're bluffing of course the last card you played was a skull. If people see right through it it's the end of the game for you. With a steady eye you look over your companions and hope you aren't giving away any 'tells'. Luckily for you, this time, they fall for it and up the number – you're in the clear and can now just sit back and watch what happens next.

Skull is a remake of Skulls & Roses. None of the rules have changed however the images have had a complete overall. The game is made by Lui-meme you can find their website here: http://www.skull-and-roses.com/

What’s it all about?

Skulls is a game of bluffing. It is a game of poker and standing your ground. Each player has three cards with colourful designs upon them. One has a skull upon it and two have flowers upon them. Starting with the first player each player places a card face-down this continues until all the cards have been placed or a player feels safe enough to make a bid. If no one else bids anything higher he then must turn over the number of cards he has bid up to. If any of the revealed cards are skulls the bid is unsuccessful and the bidder has to loose one of their cards at random. However only flowers are turned over then the bidder wins, two successful attempts win the game!

What we liked!

Skulls is a great pick up and play game with few rules and is a great bluffing game. Since it can sometimes only take fifteen minutes to play it's a brilliant game to just warm up a night of gaming or just to fill time. By mixing the sets you can also increase the number of players and you can turn it into a huge party game.
